Paul Reese is a Founder and Executive Director of Finance Law.

Paul’s experience is built on both legal practice and direct involvement in the private lending sector. That gives him a practical understanding of how loans perform when tested, how security should be structured, and what matters when capital is at risk.

He works closely with lenders on secured lending transactions, complex workouts, distressed debt matters and recovery strategies. His advice is commercial, direct and focused on protecting the lender’s position from the outset.

As Executive Director, Paul leads the strategic direction of Finance Law and maintains many of the firm’s key client and industry relationships. He remains actively involved in major transactions, business development and strategic client matters.

Paul is known for his clear commercial judgment, lender-side focus and deep understanding of the private credit market. His role is to help clients deploy capital with confidence, manage risk properly and maximise recoveries when transactions do not proceed as planned.
